Addi Ait-Mlouk
Dr. Addi Ait-Mlouk is an Associate Professor (Docent) of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the School of Informatics, University of Skövde, Sweden. He served as Director of the Data Science Master's Programme (2023–2024).
Before Skövde he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Uppsala University (2020–2022), working on scalable federated learning in the Division of Scientific Computing, and before that at Umeå University (2018–2020) on a WASP project on privacy-aware data federation for heterogeneous registry data.
His expertise covers federated learning, machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, conversational AI, open linked data, knowledge graphs and natural language processing. He has led and contributed to national and EU-funded projects, and published in venues including TheWebConf, ECIR and CCGrid. He holds a Master's in Information Systems Engineering (2013) and a PhD in Data Mining (2018) from Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech.
Outside academia he works as a consultant and trainer in CRM, ERP, data science and AI. Born in Imi N'Ouakka, Morocco, he is always open to new collaborations in academia and industry.
